MediaCom USA wins three Creative Media Awards

MediaCom was most awarded and most shortlisted agency at Media Magazine's annual competition

Creative Media Awards Wins

NEW YORK - MediaCom USA dominated at last night's Creative Media Awards, taking home the top prize in three categories for media campaigns for Audi and Discover and being the most awarded agency of the night.

The "Sunday Strategy" campaign for Audi was named winner in the Media Plan category, cited by the judges for its "high impact and tricky media execution with a real center of gravity."

"Imagine telling your client that you want them to plunk down over 60% of their budget on one day," said Kristin Goodloe, managing partner at MediaCom USA, as she collected the award. "That's a tough sell, and I really want to thank our clients at Audi for being risk-takers, because with great risk comes great reward."

MediaCom's work for Audi was again recognized in the Creative category, winning for the "Untitled Jersey City Project" campaign.

"This was an incredible project, and we're just so incredibly excited about our MediaCom team overall," said Benny Lawrence, manager of media brand and innovation for Audi.

Finally, MediaCom was named best in Branded Content/Product Placement for its "Day with the Cup" campaign for Discover.

Overall, MediaCom was nominated eight times and was the most shortlisted agency in the competition, while Audi had more nominations than any other brand. Besides its winning campaigns, MediaCom was also a finalist in the following categories:

  • Business Media - Dell and Intel, "Dell/Intel SMB Q3 Campaign" with NetShelter Technology Media
  • Multicultural Media - Subway, "Artistas Frescos"
  • Outdoor or Place-Based Media - Audi, "Times Square's First Social Media Billboard"
  • Print - Subway, "Where Superheroes Eat"
  • Research/Consumer Insights - Audi, "Sunday Strategy"

In its eighth year, the Creative Media Awards are sponsored by Media Magazine and recognize the past year's most creative and innovative media campaigns. At last year's ceremony, MediaCom took home two awards for Volkswagen's "PunchDub" campaign and Dell's behavioral targeting work.

Last night's awards cap off a strong year on the awards circuit for MediaCom USA, which has also received accolades from competitions including the OMMA Awards, the Festival of Media Awards, the IAB MIXX Awards, the M&M Global Awards, the Cannes Media Lions Awards, the Direct Marketing Association's ECHO Awards, the American Business Awards, the Effie Awards and the One Show Entertainment Awards.
