    The future is now

    As a proud sponsor of the 2012 Advertising Week, MediaCom invites you to join our session, "Mission Impossible: Truth and Privacy," on October 4 at the Liberty Theater.

    Presented in partnership with Davis & Gilbert LLP and IdeVoita, the session has two parts:

    Privacy & Data: The Future Is Now
    Ronald R. Urbach, chairman of Davis & Gilbert and co-chair of the Advertising, Marketing & Promotions Practice Group, will have a candid conversation with FTC Commissioner Julie Brill, to talk about a wide range of critical topics important to the advertising industry, including privacy, data collection and utilization, and data security.

    Catch Me If You Can
    Frank Abagnale, one of the world's foremost authorities on fraud and identity theft, and whose life was depicted on the big screen by Leonardo DiCaprio in the classic film, "Catch Me If You Can," will provide a 'life story' speech and an extended Q&A session on a variety of security issues.

    In addition, Jonathan Salem Baskin, who co-authored the newly published "Tell the Truth" with MediaCom strategy director Sue Unerman, will share insights from his research on the relationship between transparency, purchaser data, and the emergence of 'brand truth' as a basis for effective customer relationships.

    The presentation will also include introductions from Sasha Savic, USA CEO, MediaCom, and Loreen Babcock, CEO, IdeVoita, and will be followed by a cocktail reception sponsored by MediaCom and Evidon.

    Other Advertising Week events

    Vik Kathuria, EVP and managing partner of digital investment at MediaCom, will be appearing at the Mobile Media Summit on October 1 at the Hudson Terrace. Kathuria is scheduled to participate in the "How to make RTB work with your DSP and your SSP" panel at 4:20 PM. Click here to learn more.

    Stephanie Fierman, global chief marketing officer at MediaCom, will appear on the panel, "The Sharing Economy," on October 3 at 6:00 PM at the Liberty Theater.

    MediaCom is also a finalist at the IAB MIXX Awards. Winners will be announced on October 2 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Times Square. MediaCom is nominated in the search marketing category for its groundbreaking work with Volkswagen, which has already won a ClickZ Connected Marketing Award and two American Business Awards.

All four of the following campaigns were winners at the 2012 Festival of Media Awards in Montreux, Switzerland, where MediaCom was also named Agency Network of the Year for the second time in three years.
